Nord Sud is the result of 14 years of ongoing evolution, observation and trials in the forever evolving world of the Media. It is the realisation of a dream expressed among friends and colleagues in 1995 as the internet was becoming available to the masses and digital photography and digital video was becoming a reality. A dream many times postponed.
Nord Sud is the beginning of a new adventure launched among the thunder storms of the summer 2009.
NordSud is a vessel aimed at presenting positive true stories, with a strong human element, directly to the public, without any age restriction.
NordSud offers content in three languages to start with.

In Nord Sud, we bring to the audience full length reportages, Documentaries posted with supporting material, produced by engaged journalists, reporters, cameramen, authors with a high regard for the ethics directing the gathering of information, of story telling.
Creations supported and reinforced by the work, the added treatment from the Zookeeper team of experience graphic designers, animators and programmers, whose work makes it possible today to create and set up such presentations. 
 
Along the finished Projects the audience can choose to visit our ongoing productions from the confort of their living room, their office, or whatever location mobile technology is allowing them.

We believe audiences today want to feel that they are considered   seriously not just as numbers, quotas. They want to know what is going on concerning our planet, but also how do we know what is on going.
People have been cheated many times and they need to be reassured.
They need to feel this is something I could show my kids.

When possible we will bring our audience up to speed about our productions by posting regular updates in the form of a making of, portraits, drawings, music whatever it is that best illustrates the ongoing process.
The art is going to be finding the best way to do this wihout us becoming more important that the stories we intend to tell.
More important than the people who give us time and access.
We are embarking together in this new adventure and we hope to keep you with us.

We are lauching a platform where for once the authors will be able to decide, and edit what report, what interview, what documentary  finds it way directly to the Public. So much great material, testimonies of events, of time gone by is sleeping in archives.
The internet allows us today to try and make the most of those temoignages.

In Nord Sud we shall also present you with a selection of Portraits from people who are making a difference in this world of ours.
In Nord Sud we will exhibit portfolios from chosen authors.
For Nord Sud is open to outstanding Professionals, authors others than ourselves who would like to present their work directly to the outside world.
We shall of course try and vet the accuracy of the content presented in our pages but we can in no way claim that we will check every details. However we aim to work with Professionals in which we have confidence, Professionals sharing with us an ideal for journalism in it's purest form.

Nord Sud is going for a high end multimedia approach for we believe the public should be presented with material of the highest quality possible.
We have chosen however not to discriminate and we will also serve those whose link to the internet is not yet up to DSL standard.

We also want NordSud to be a place of communication.
On the front page of all our projects, finished or ongoing there is space for the viewers to express themselves. We want to hear from you, so you are most welcome to write to us, to the authors directly or to address yourself to the audience. This space shall be and will remain uncensored for as long as our trust is not abused.

Last but not least, Nord Sud is a place for you to participate.
By communicating you can in the first instance take your part on our side in our stories by sharing information with us. You can also choose to go public and go on camera.

Others might choose to participate by supporting our productions financially or in kind.

As you will all have noticed there are no charges for our service, nor is there any publicity in our pages. We have chosen to try and work instead with sponsors and partners who believe in our work and we will be thanking them by stating it clearly and creating links in the internet.
You could be one of those.

You will also soon realise that we actually follow up in the long term the stories we cover which is a rate feat in this modern Media world of ours.
This is another instance where one can also choose to participate.
Once a Multimedia project is completed we shall try everything possible to make use of that production to raise awareness for the causes we cover but also to try and help raise direct financial support for the people involved in the field.
Every form of contribution, every possible help you may offer is welcome.
